A Gentleman, A Big Boy, An Important Pose, and 15 Minutes of Quiet

This is largely just a smattering of pictures, but each one includes an interesting story to go with it.
Last Sunday, Jeremy was able to convince John to part his hair. We added some gel to get it to hold in place, and worked pretty hard to keep it from getting messed up. He got several compliments while in Primary.

Jeremy had let his Letterman jacket on the ground at the end of a cold day. John decided he was going to pretend to be Daddy, so he put on Jeremy's jacket. It was a little bit big on him. :)
John was striking several poses for the camera -- one of his favorite past-times. We think this one makes him look "important". Specifically, his hands on his hips. Admittedly, his knees locked together just makes him look like he has to go pee!
On Saturday, we went to the library -- a common activity for us. Heather pointed out the books on tape, and we decided to see if John was old enough to listen to them all by himself. He LOVES them. He has figured out when to turn his page with each of the two books we've gotten, and he's listened to them 4 times in 2 days! We need to get more of these when we go to the library the next time. We also probably need to get a kid tape recorder so that he can play the tapes without us doing anything. Then, it would become 30 minutes of quiet (2 tapes without us having to do anything). :)

Note the headphones. John calls them "earplugs" and he requests them every time.
